Snows Group Premier Division

The gap at the top of the division remained unchanged after 1st place Waterside A beat 5th place Waterside B 9-1.10626177_10154589910540018_6350281781467808340_o Alpha A move up to 4th place after a 9-1 victory over 7th place Soton West D (Alex Rorke and Player of the Match Norman Swift won all 3 for Alpha A). 2nd place Soton West A beat 6th place Soton West B 9-1 (Player of the Match John McBeath and Ben Cawston won all 3 for Soton West A). 3rd place Generation II beat 8th place Soton West C 10-0.

Snows Group Division 1

Waterside C extend their lead at the top of the division to 7 points after a 9-1 victory over 3rd place Hedge End A (Brian Hayes and Player of the Match Ugur Dundar won all 3 for Waterside C). Waterside F move up to 2nd place after an 8-2 victory over 11th barryplace Four Ts B (Player of the Match Barry Ross won all 3 for Waterside F). 4th place Soton West E drew with 10th place Soton West F (Player of the Match Alan Dawson won 2 for Soton West F). 5th place Waterside E beat 8th place Waterside G 7-3 (Player of the Match James Harkins won all 3 for Waterside E). 6th place Four Ts A drew with 9th place Alpha B (Player of the Match Diarry Khdir won all 3 for Four Ts A).

St. Deny’s A extend their lead at the top of the division to 6 points after an 8-2 victory over 7th place Soton West J (Player of the Match Keith Hewitt won all 3 for St. Deny’s A). Soton West H move up to 2nd place after an 8-2 victory over 10th place Soton West I (Player of the Match Ian Ashburner and Kevin Buchanan won all 3 for Soton West H). Waterside H move up to 3rd place after a 6-4 victory over 11th place Hedge End B (Player of the Match Dave Goodyer won all 3 for Waterside H). Waterside L move up to 5th place after a 7-3 victory over 8th place Waterside J (Albert Harding and Player of the Match Albert Garcia won all 3 for Waterside L) and a 4-6 defeat to 9th place Four Ts C (Player of the Match Albert Garcia won all 3 for Waterside L). A very good evenings table tennis. Even though I managed to dislocate Keith’s finger in the doubles! He managed to click it back in and carry on. Lucky it wasn’t his right hand! Barry Dobson

Snows Group Division 3

Waterside M move into the top position over P.W.O. following a 6-4 victory over former division leader P.W.O. who slip into 3rd place (Player of the Match Piotr Pawlowski won all 3 for P.W.O.). Simmarians A move up to 4th place after a 7-3 victory over 6th place Wimpey (Player of the Match Pat Edghill won all 3 for Simmarians A). 2nd place Waterside N drew with 5th place New Community A (Player of the Match John Dane won all 3 for Waterside N).
Waterside N vs New Community A
Match delayed by one day at request of New Community. John Dane scored a singles maximum in his first match of the season. Mateusz Szewcs stepped in as a reserve for Waterside N following a late withdrawal by April Cox and secured the draw for his team with a magnificent three straight sets win against New Community’s most successful player in 2014-2015, Matt Gallagher.
