SAFEGUARDING AND WELFARE, CODES OF CONDUCT

  1. Information for Coaches, Staff and new Volunteers
    It is important that all WTTC coaches, staff and volunteers are aware of the club documents that exist regarding
    the Safeguarding and Welfare of the Club’s members as well as other important documents and procedures.
    This information can be found in the Club Information Folder at the Club as well as on the website at watersidettc/club-procedures.
    Parents and new members will have been made aware of Safeguarding Information which will have been
    mentioned in the Parent’s Welcome and New Member’s Welcome leaflets. This will also have been mentioned on
    this term’s newsletters and is on the club website and in the Club Information Folder at the desk.

WTTC Coaches must read and be aware of the Code of Conduct for Coaches
WTTC Officials and Volunteers must read and be aware of the Code of Practice for Officials and Volunteers.
ALL Coaches, Staff and Volunteers should be familiar with the following:

  • Table Tennis England Safeguarding Guidelines
  • WTTC Safeguarding Policy
  • WTTC Safeguarding Concerns and Reporting Procedures (see below)
  • WTTC Health & Safety Policy
  • WTTC Accident / Incident Reporting Procedures
  1. Safeguarding Concerns and Reporting Procedures
    If you have concerns (serious or otherwise) about the welfare of a person or you suspect they may be abused then
    speak to the WTTC Welfare Officer (Wendy Watkins) The Club Chairman or Table Tennis England’s Safeguarding
    Manager (Judy Rogers for advice on how to proceed. Contact details below. ***
    For all other complaints the matter should be referred to the Club Chairman (Colin French
    chairman@watersidettc.co.uk )
