Hedge End A vs Soton West E
Hedge End A played very well to defeat Soton West E 10-0 with Dave Woodacre winning a straight sets treble, which was matched by John Taylor despite leaving his glasses at work, but he dropped two legs. The game of the night was Robin Plunkett v Steve Buckmaster who had his opponent pinned back with accurate backhand hitting with the occassional forehand hit. He was looking favorite at two legs to one up and 6-1 to the good, but his opponent dug deep to win as both players played like their life depended on it. He later completed his hat trick against the stylish serves and power shots of Keith Dickenson.
